For this edition of throwback thursday #7, i want to write about something that i finally ha the chance to experience with my own eyes. Usually when I do throwback Thursdays, I write about fashion or music that I maybe too young to experience.

For today's post, I want to write about this particular shoe brand that was seen everywhere throughout my childhood. As you can see from the title, I am going to talk about K-swiss. In my opinion, k-swiss was a very interesting brand. When it was first introduced to me as a child, it was something entirely new (even though it was founded in 1966). We all know the classic shoe brands such as Adidas or Nike and how it gained a cult following through the fashion world.

However, with K-Swiss it was starting to build its platform through fashion back in the early 2000s.

Whats interesting about this shoe brand was its upbringing. K-swiss was founded in Los Angeles by two swiss brothers Art and Ernie Brunner. Both of them were very fascinated by Tennis right after immigrating to the United States. They wanted to make the perfect tennis shoe while adding a signature style. By coming up with this idea, they created the K-swiss classics.

Throughout the late 90s, many media advertising campaigns were able to popularized the shoe brand while adding the slogan: "I Wear my K-Swiss"

Later on the years, k-swiss brand developed another signature look by adding colorful stripes called the K-Swiss tongue twister, which launched in 2003. Back in the day, everybody i knew were rocking K-swiss. It was that perfect shoe that granted you access to be part of the in crowd.

With revivals becoming a huge trend in the fashion industry, a k-swiss revival would not be surprising. It's most recent come back was back in 2016 when K-Swiss launched the classic sneaker with the modern update called the Lozan Tongue Twister XL (limited edition).
